WORK WITH HILLTOP ARTISTS

Employment, Contracts, and Internships

*IMPORTANT EMERGENCY INFORMATION*

We are still accepting applications for the Outreach Services Manager (see description below), but our hiring process is currently stalled in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. If you have applied and haven’t received a response, please be patient and anticipate a response by October.

We hope to onboard this new staff member in late 2020/early 2021, and plan to begin this position at part-time status, to transition to full-time once we are able to interact with students face to face.

Hilltop Artists is a mid-sized youth development arts nonprofit in Tacoma, Washington operating deeply impactful programs with broad community support, and a track record of success.

You will be joining a small, highly motivated staff with a focus on collaboration, equity, and excellence. A relentless enthusiasm, positive attitude, and strong sense of joy in the mission are essential.

OUTREACH SERVICES MANAGER

To Apply:

  • Read the employment statement below, as well as the linked job description in their entirety
  • Email a 1-page cover letter and resume to info@hilltopartists.org with subject: [Your Last Name] 2020 Outreach Services Manager
  • We will accept applications until the position is filled. There is no deadline to apply but we encourage you to submit as soon as possible.

Special Consideration during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Due to the unprecedented circumstances, this position will be offered part time in fiscal year 2020-2021. Our hope is that by later in the year or by the next fiscal year, we will be able to bring the position to full time.

Outreach Services delivery is dramatically different than it has historically been. Since March 2020, we have been serving our students entirely virtually.

Our expectation is that the new Manager can interact competently with online systems, is confident with online and phone communication, and can pivot to working with students, staff, and the community face to face as we navigate this difficult time.

Employment Statement

Hilltop Artists believes that promoting diversity is vital to our mission of “using glass art to connect young people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds to better futures.”

We define diversity broadly to include and extend beyond notions of race, national origin, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, and creative expression.

Hilltop Artists is an equal opportunity employer. It is our strong belief that equal opportunity for all employees is central to the continuing success of our organization.

We will not discriminate against any employee, student, their family (or support system), volunteer, or applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, veteran status, marital status, gender identification, citizenship, the presence of any sensory, mental, or physical disability, or any other status protected by local, state, or federal law.

In hiring, contracting, and in partnering with volunteers, we seek individuals who share and uplift our values and will contribute to our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Applications by members of all underrepresented groups are encouraged.
