DESCRIPTION:Visit the Gallery at Tacoma Community College to come and explore a unique exhibition featuring Hilltop Artists alumni\, staff\, and students! \nThe show’s title\, “Hilltop Artists: All Grown Up” references the fact that many of the youth who fell in love with glass art during their high school or middle school years became professional glass artists\, and eight of the current Hilltop Artists staff members are program alumni. The exhibition includes work by staff\, alumni\, and the current students who have collaborated with them on projects. \nThe artists featured in this exhibition show the depth and breadth of expression as it develops through Hilltop Artists. DESCRIPTION:Fused Together community workshops bring together Hilltop Artists with artist Kait Rhoads to engage the public in environmental advocacy and glass art. This program is offered for free at Tacoma Public Libraries thanks to funding by Tacoma Creates. Together with you\, we are creating public art that will be installed across Tacoma to celebrate marine life and help raise awareness about the impacts of pollution. \nCreate your own fused glass tile and contributing to a collaborative art project in a family-friendly activity suitable for ages 8 and older.
